The Sanctuary of Poseidon was a shrine in the Kyllene Foothills in Achaia, Greece. Found at the border with Erymanthos Peaks, the shrine was dedicated to the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. It was eventually occupied by the Followers of Ares.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the clan chief, claimed their valuables, and found an Ainigmata Ostraka.[1]
