This Palazzo used to be the Home of Emilio Barbarigo, the Merchant King of Venice. It is designed in the classic Venetian Gothic style - while appearing quite heavy and solemn, it is actually very light and airy. The Venetian thieves have now gained control of it. After Memory Sequence 7, up to three groups of thieves can be found here, having claimed it as their second home.

After arriving from Romagna on the ferry, Leonardo da Vinci and Ezio are welcomed by Alvise, who is quick to give them a tour of San Polo. Ezio, being well known for making 'friends' very quickly, finds a small band of thieves trying to scale Emilio Barbarigo's Palazzo, which only results in one of them, Rosa, being shot in the leg with an arrow. Whilst Leonardo da Vinci makes his workshop in Castello, Ezio meets Antonio de Magianis, Leader of the Venetian Thieves Guild, and learns about Emilio Barbarigo. In exchange for assistance in killing Emilio, Ezio begins helping the Guild, learning Rosa's Climb Leap technique, and freeing several captured thieves as he does so. Finally, upon infiltrating the Palazzo along with the thieves, Ezio assassinates Emilio.
