Salamanca is the capital city of the Province of Salamanca in the community of Castile and León in Spain.

In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins infiltrated the mansion of the merchant Gabriel Dominico in the city in search of a painting belonging to Leonardo da Vinci. Overcoming the traps installed in the mansion, they succeeded in retrieving the painting before escaping the estate.[1]
