Aquilus was a Roman Assassin and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.
Biography
Early life
Meeting with Gracchus
As Aquilus entered the Roman camp, he asked to see general Gracchus. He was then directed to the center of the camp, and his message was delivered to the Roman general. Gracchus invited Aquilus in and reveiled the fact that he had been expecting Aquilus, knowing that he was the one to murder senator Caius and general Titus, and suspecting he was the Assassin's next target. Aquilus tried to deny it, but was quickly overpowered by the Roman guards and stabbed by general Gracchus.

- Aquila is a constellation which in Latin means "eagle", in the same context as Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze's first names; also pertaining to eagles in their native languages. Also, the constellation of Aquila's brightest star is named Altair.
