Romulf was an Anglo-Saxon bishop who served as advisor to King Edmund of East Anglia during the mid-9th century.
By 864, rumours had reached had reached King Edmund of the ealdorman Lerion's plot to usurp King Burgred as King of Mercia. In response, Romulf sent a letter to the ealdorman's residence in the east, advising Lerion to clear up these rumours and travel to Northwic to renew his vows of fealty to King Edmund, else he would be stripped of his title and land.[1]
