Resheph

Resheph was a war elephant stationed at a military camp situated in Uab Nome, Egypt, alongside another elephant, Qetesh.

In the mid-1st century BCE, both Resheph and Qetesh were hunted down by the Medjay, Bayek of Siwa, who claimed a predator from them as a reward.

Trivia

  • Resheph was a Canaanite deity associated with plagues but was later adopted into the Egyptian pantheon as a war god of horses and chariots. His name could be translated to "flame, lightning" or burning fever, plague, pestilence". He is normally depicted alongside the goddess Qetesh.
