Queen's Staircase

The Queen's Staircase is a staircase of 65 steps located in the Bahamas' capital of Nassau.

The staircase was hand-carved by slaves from 1773 to 1774 directly into a 31 meter tall limestone promontory, connecting the lower part of Nassau to the fortifications above. The steps were later dedicated to Queen Victoria, who reigned over the United Kingdom for 63 years. In 2013, Abstergo Entertainment included the staircase in their virtual representation of Edward Kenway's genetic memories due to its status as an iconic landmark, despite the place not having been built in his lifetime.[1]
