Ptolemy III Euergetes (c. 280 BCE– c. 222 BCE) was the 3rd pharaoh of Egypt who reigned from 246 BCE to his death.
During his reign, Ptolemy constructed the Serapeum in Alexandria upon the foundation laid down by his grandfather Ptolemy I Soter.[1]
