I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.
This article is about Savonarola's lieutenant. You may be looking for the Animi Avatar.

The Preacher (unknown - 1497) was one of Girolamo Savonarola's nine lieutenants – men he put in charge to control Florence during the Bonfire of the Vanities – who freely followed the Dominican friar without being manipulated by an Apple of Eden.

Biography

Rise to power

When Savonarola used an Apple of Eden to take control over Florence, he assigned nine lieutenants to enforce his will on the city. Each lieutenant had his own task to carry out, of which the Preacher was assigned to spread the word of Savonarola's ideals.

Death

The Preacher spoke before a crowd of people with his back to a wall, surrounded by guards who were ready to alert him when someone moved away from the crowd or made any attempt at his life. Despite this protection, Ezio Auditore da Firenze found a way to assassinate the Preacher unseen.

Speech

"People of Firenze! Come! Gather round. Listen well to what I say! The end approaches! Now is the time to repent! To beg God's forgiveness.

Don't you see?! The SIGNS are all around us: Unrest! Famine! Disease! Corruption! These are the harbingers of DARKNESS! We must stand firm in our devotion lest they CONSUME US ALL! I see you doubt; that you think me mad. Ahhh... but did the Romans not say the same to Gesù? (Jesus?) Know that I too once shared your uncertainty. Your fear. But that was before Savonarola came to me. He showed me the TRUTH! At last, my eyes were OPENED. And so I stand before you today in the hope that I might open yours as well!"
