Pickpocketing (Talal) was a virtual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Altaïr passed by a pair of civilians talking about the recent disappearances in Jerusalem. One of them mentioned that he learned about Talal's activities, and marked it on a map.
Dialogue
Altaïr approached the two civilians and listened in.
- Civilian 1: If the guard won't take action, it falls to us to do something.
- Civilian 2: What you propose is madness!
- Civilian 1: But necessary! How many more will we allow to go missing, before the people take a stand?
- Civilian 2: It does not affect us!
- Civilian 1: Not yet! But if we continue to do nothing, it will!
- Civilian 2: And what do you propose?
- Civilian 1: I've watched the man. Learned everything there is to know about his operation. It's all here, on a map I've made. He inspects his stock, every day, at the same time. This is when I'll strike!
- Civilian 2: So you have a piece of paper. It won't save you when you're discovered. Won't shield you from their swords and arrows.
- Civilian 1: If all goes well, it won't come to that. Anyway, it's a risk I'll have to take. Wish me luck, my friend.
- Civilian 2: Indeed. You'll need it.
Afterwards, Altaïr tailed the carrier and pickpocketed the map from him.
Outcome
Altaïr acquired a map showing the position of Talal's guards.
