Pickpocketing (Masun) was a virtual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Altaïr followed the lead obtained from eavesdropping on the villagers near the market, and found the basket weaver. Observing the weaver's conversation with a woman, Altaïr saw that the weaver tried to deny receiving a letter recently, and felt uncomfortable talking about the subject.
Altaïr shadowed the weaver and pickpocketed the letter in question from him. It revealed the location of the traitor, Masun, who was preaching near the Cypress tree in the vilalge.
Dialogue
Altaïr headed over to the location of the basket weaver. The weaver was seen speaking with a woman, who mentioned a letter.
- Woman: Please, just one! We lost everything in the attack and have no place to store our grain!
- Weaver: I... I can't right now. I'm busy.
- Woman: Is this about the letter?
- Weaver: W-what letter?
- Woman: The letter you received when I got here. Bad news?
- Weaver: I don't know what you're talking about. Listen, I'll see what I can do, but please, I need to be alone right now. Come back later.
- Woman: As you wish.
As the woman left, the weaver walked off, into the village. Altaïr followed him and silently grabbed a letter from his pocket. The letter revealed Masun's location, near the Cypress tree, to Altaïr.
Outcome
Altaïr discovered Masun's location.
