Paola was a 9th century Anglo-Saxon woman from Sciropescire, England.

In the 870s, Paola and her husband Jason built their own home after being inspired from traveling around distant lands. After completing their home, Paola painted in her own while Jason welcomed a visitor, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan. After presenting their home, Jason went to his wife while Eivor left thanking him for his wise words.[1]

Behind the scenes

Paola was inspired by a real-life woman of a couple who were fans of the series and became friends with Creative Director Ashraf Ismail. In return, the characters and the memory were tributed to them, as Paola died from an illness.
