The Ospedale delgi Innocenti is a major building in the city of Florence that opened its doors in 1445. It was an orphanage designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, and was also the first orphanage in Europe. Prior to its opening, orphans were usually thrown down wells. The orphanage used a revolving door system so that the parents of the children could stay out of sight.
In Assassin's Creed II, it is a glyph location, as well as where one of Girolamo Savonarola's lieutenants can be found.
