The Ospedale delgi Innocenti is a major building located in the city of Florence. It was an orphanage and was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi and it opened its doors in 1445. It was also the first orphanage in Europe, and prior to it's opening, orphans were usually thrown down wells. The orphanage used a revolving door system so that the parents of the children could stay out of sight. In Assassin's Creed II it is a glyph location and one of Girolamo Savonarola's lieutenants can be found here.
