Animus data fragments were fragments spread throughout the city of Constantinople and Cappadocia during Desmond Miles' Animus sessions. Collecting certain amount of fragments would unlock narrow doors on Animus Island allowing Desmond to witness several moments of his life.[1]

Trivia

  • There is an Achievement for collecting all Animus data fragments, called "Capped" (20G; Bronze Trophy).
  • The Animus data fragments look like the loading bar from Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
  • There are 100 Animus data fragments spread throughout Constantinople and Cappadocia in total.
  • If you collect 50 Animus data fragments during the game, you will unlock a map showing where the rest of the fragments are.
