Description
A mysterious bow forged from an unknown material, it seems to have been crafted by a civilization prior to ours.

Behind the scenes

Several players across social media stated the existence of a fourth Isu weapon in the game, a bow. The YouTuber called Jorraptor was among the first members in the community in sharing a method that would unlock the bow by using a save/load glitch consisting in hitting the glowing rock, located in the northern part of Eurvicscire, a couple of times and then saving and reloading the game save until obtaining the weapon.[2] The next day, narrative director Darby McDevitt mentioned as a reply to Jorraptor's tweet that there was a legit way to unlock Nodens' Arc.[3]

The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Collector's Edition contained all the clues to obtain the Isu bow. The Access the Animus team posted a video in their YouTube channel describing each of the necessary steps to unlock Nodens' Arc.[4]

Strange Isu symbols were depicted in several items of the Collector's Edition: The main box, the game soundtrack disk, the CD case, the lithographs, and in the steelbook. To understand their meaning, the players needed to translate the Isu language introduced in Assassin's Creed Valhalla using the files the player can unlock and analyze in the game.

  1. The main box contained a sentence that, once translated, means "The Sword is the tool to unlock it". The box also featured the image of Excalibur, giving the idea that this Sword of Eden was the object needed to complete the task.
  2. The game soundtrack disk depicted a sentence on its cover that means: "Hidden Inside".
  3. Chemical formulas Silica, Periclase, Magnetite were depicted on the back of the CD case. These are present in rocks.[5]
  4. The lithographs, when put together in a specific way, formed an Isu word that means "Now". The players could notice that the drawing of a sun was depicted in the center, giving the illusion that the Isu word was hiding it. This would indicate the time of day when this item becomes obtainable.
  5. The steelbook contained two Isu words that mean: "This Lake", the Isu numeral system (based on the hexadecimal system), and some Isu numbers. The numeral system shown on the inner side had the intention of teaching the players the numeral system used by the Isu and their equivalent in the binary system for it was necessary to understand the numbers on the bottom side. If they opened the steelbook in 90 degrees, the numbers on the bottom side formed some kind of coordinate table. By drawing it and painting its squares, according to their equivalent in the binary system (0 is off, 1 is on), the players would reveal the shape of the lake where Nodens' Arc lies hidden.[6] Curiously, the shape of the lake is very similar to the borders of Singapore. In fact, Ubisoft Singapur was in charge of developing some of the world's territories in the game [7] and one of its developers, Antoine Henry, created the Isu language.[8]

All of these hints would encourage the player to search for a breakable vein in a lake with the shape of Singapore's borders and destroy it with Excalibur at sunset. This lake was, indeed, located in the northern part of Eurvicscire, close to Brunton Turret.

Although all these hints come from the Collector's Edition, it's unknown how Eivor found out about Nodens' Arc in the canon of the game.
