Neith is an Egyptian goddess of hunting and war, and she is the patron deity of the town of Sais. She is also regarded as a primordial goddess, creator of everything.
In 1st century BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa thanked her after a successful hunt.[1]
Trivia
- In certain areas, it was said that Neith was the mother of Sobek.[2]
- In 1st century BCE, Bayek could gain a predator bow dedicated to the goddess, called Concealed Garment. Another bow, called Neith's Observer, also celebrated her.
- In Herakleion Nome, bandits had set up camp in a ruined temple apparently dedicated to Neith.
