The Naxos Quarry

The Naxos Quarry was a marble quarry near the Routsouna Waterfall on the Greek island of Naxos.

At some point during the Peloponnesian War, the quarry became a storage for military supplies. Sometime after that, it was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who found an Ainigmata Ostraka there while burning some of the supplies and claiming the valuables therein.[1]
