Narfljot Camp was an Viking campsite of the Wolf Clan in 9th century northeastern Vinland.
History
In 875, Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir searched and hunted for the Wardens of War's Maegester Gorm Kjotvesson, who was her blood enemy. Through her investigative travels, Eivor finally caught sight of Gorm at Narfljot Camp, where he gave a speech to his men, with a Crystal ball in his hand. At this time, Gorm used this camp as means of excavation, in order to find and let out a goddess from the vault there. However, Eivor came and assassinated Gorm, before he could attempt to open the vault. From Gorm's personal effects, Eivor retrieved a clue about the Grand Maegester, his medallion, and the Crystal ball.[1]
Behind the Scenes
The Grand Temple makes its second appearance in the series within this camp, as it was first seen when Haytham Kenway and Kaniehtí:io found it together, but Haytham could not open it. In 2012, the Assassins' team of Desmond Miles, William Miles, Rebecca Crane, and Shaun Hastings entered the temple with the Grand Temple Key and used it as their temporary base. Ironically, Desmond had to set Juno free to save the Earth.[2]
