The Mōdraniht Ceremonial Shield was a type of light shield used in England during the 9th century. Named after Mōdraniht, the Anglo-Saxon pagan festival synonymous with the Germanic pagan holiday of Yule, it was said to be so light it would not encumber the user as they drank.

During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan bought this shield from Norvid during a Yule festival.[1]
