Mochizuki Chiyome

Mochizuki Chiyome was a noblewoman who lived during Japan's Sengoku period. She was credited with creating an all-female group of ninja, named kunoichi, for her uncle-in-law, Takeda Shingen. Used as spies and assassins, there were hundreds of Chiyome's girls and they were rumored for being everywere, posing as courriers, servants and even as prostitutes. Contrary to it's legend, the kunoichi organization was not infallible and was unable to prevent Honda Tadakatsu and the Japanese Assassin Hattori Hanzō from infiltrating Shingen's camp.

When the Templars arrived in Japan with the Jesuit missionaries in the 16th century, they were hindered in their effort of expanding their influence due to the constant wars between the clans and the hostility toward outsiders. To overcome this problem, the Templars recruited the few native sympathizers they could find, such as Mochizuki Chiyome, letting them spread the Templar philosophy in the island. Chiyome eventually become a target for Hattori Hanzō, a ninja recruited by the Assassins in order to counter the Templars and have their own agents in Japan.
