The Military Fort of Gla was a Mycenaen-era fortified city located on an island in Lake Kopais in Boeotia, Greece. Surrounded by a Cyclopean wall, the city featured a drainage system which emptied and filled the lake to irrigate the plain in the region.
During the Peloponnesian War, the fort was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, who was in pursuit of a Boeotian champion.[1]
