"We give you honor Meritaten, consort of the King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Lord of the Two Lands Ankhkhepurere Smenkhkare Djeser Kheperu. Beloved of Aten, Ankhkhepurere Neferneferuaten, daughter of Nefertiti. Meritaten is our Queen in this life and the next."
―Tomb inscription of Meritaten.[src]

Meritaten, also known as Ankhkhepurere Neferneferuaten, was queen to the pharaoh Smenkhkare of the eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt.

Born to the pharaoh Akhenaten and Nefertiti, she was buried with her husband in his tomb. Her sarcophagus was later discovered by the Medjay, Bayek, in 48 BCE when he explored the tomb.
