Mannheim is a city in Germany.
History
In July 1863, while touring New York in the United States, the Italian opera singer Adelina Patti, enroute to the Fifth Avenue Hotel via carriage, was looking forward to her next tours of the German cities of Frankfurt and Mannheim. Her hopeful thoughts of the future were interrupted however when she was accosted by ruffians.[1]
