Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (1892 – 1918), more commonly known as the Red Baron, was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force during World War I. He is considered one of the most renowned and feared pilots, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories.[1] Due to his abilities as a flying ace, rumors arose that he was being protected by a supernatural force.[2]
