The Makaria Checkpoint

The Makaria Checkpoint was a military camp in the Valley of Aristomenes in Messenia, Greece. It was located in the southeastern part of the region, directly east of Aipeia, near the border with the West Taygetos Foothills.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place.[1]
