History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke entered onto its grounds after discovering Mai's location and her role in smuggling the silver from Hosokawa Fujitaka's supply. Welcoming her guests, Mai had them wait while she finished her writing. Then, Mai and her shinobi attacked Naoe and Yasuke, but Mai's forces were ultimately defeated. Naoe and Yasuke then recovered a naginata Glimmering Sway and an unsent letter exposing Fujitaka's second-in-command Yoshisada of being part of the smuggling ring from Mai's personal effects.[1]
