Lygdamis was a ruler of Naxos Island during the 6th century BCE.

In 530 BCE, he ordered work to begin on a grand temple dedicated to the god Apollo, but it was never completed. By the time of the Peloponnesian War, Lygdamis was still remembered and revered by people like Evandros, a priest in charge of the building of the temple as the work on it was restarted under the rule of the Phoenix.[1]
