The Lost Histories was a volume of Herodotus' seminal Histories that was lost to time, before its rediscovery in 2018 by Layla Hassan. It was found buried alongside the Spear of Leonidas.
In it, Herodotus detailed his travels during the Peloponnesian War and his encounter with the legendary Spartan misthios Kassandra.[1]
