The Mona Lisa was a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, which depicted a young lady.
Upon first seeing the work in progress in 1506, Ezio Auditore da Firenze remarked positively about the piece; however, Leonardo rebuked that she was "badly drawn", with an overdone, meaningless smile.
A little before his death, Leonardo gave the painting to his longtime assistant, Salaì.
