According to {{Wiki|Völuspá|legend}}, [[Odin]] wanted to discover what the [[Ragnarök|future]] held for him. His desire to know what lay in store conflicted with the universal order and the will of the [[Nornir|Norns]], the keepers of [[Fates|fate]]. To find this answer, Odin went to [[Mímir]]'s [[Mímisbrunnr|Well]], a magical place nestled within the roots of [[Yggdrasil]], the Cosmic Tree.

He recieved a nasty scar in return, as seen in this piece of concept art.
