Laganda Pass was a pass in the Mount Taygetos mountain range in Lakonia. Within the pass was located a bandit camp. The pass connects Lakonia with Messenia, a natural bottleneck for unsuspecting travellers between the two regions.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the bandits, freed their captives and claimed their valuables.[1]
