Kythera Town was the main settlement located in Pilgrim Hill on Kythera Island, Greece.
The town housed many pilgrims who came to the island to worship the goddess Aphrodite, said to have emerged from the sea near the island. Kythera Town was also regarded as the first city to embrace the goddess.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place.[2]
