The Kyklades is a hypernym referring to islands in the Aegean Sea, southeast of Peloponnese. Consisting of over 200 islands around the island of Delos, the largest among them is Naxos Island.
The Greek goddess Artemis was widely worshipped throughout the Kyklades, especially as Hekaerge.[1] Mykonos served as the center of her worship with its Temple of Artemis.[2]
