Kuroda Village was a small village in the Hijiyama region of Iga, Japan, situated west of Kashiwara Village.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke visited the village after receiving a lead from Shōtei about his former wayward students, the Godai Shinobi, spreading terror across Japan. There, they met with a local blacksmith who had been arguing with a soldier about housing a criminal.[1]
Talking to the blacksmith, Naoe and Yasuke learned that his new apprentice was sought by the guards and had taken refuge in an abandoned camp on the hill north of the village. With this information, the pair left to confront the apprentice.[1]
