Kublai Khan (23 September 1215 – 18 February 1294) was the grandson of Genghis Khan, brother of Hülegü Khan, and fifth ruler of the Mongol Empire from 1260 to 1294.
He is mentioned in a conversation between Desmond Miles and Shaun Hastings, and in Domenico Auditore's biography, where it is stated that Marco Polo met him while visiting the court of Genghis Khan, where he retrieved Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's Codex.
