The Krotoniate Tripod was a tripod standing beside the Apollo of Salamina within Delphi in Phokis, Greece.
History
The tripod was dedicated by the Greek polis Croton after their victory over the fellow polis Sybaris in southern Italy. The tripod also served as the emblem of the coinage of Croton.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the tripod was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[2]
