The Kopais Perch was an outcrop near the Military Fort of Gla in Lake Kopais in Boeotia, Greece.
History
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan polemarch Stentor, the adopted son of Nikolaos and thus the step-brother of the misthios Kassandra, tasked Kassandra to deal with the Champions of Boeotia.[1] One of these was Aristaios, who was assigned to the Fort of Gla to train Athenian troops.[2]
When Kassandra found Aristaios, the strategos was fighting Nikolaos near the Kopais Perch. While Kassandra watched, Nikolaos slew Aristaios.[2]
