Julie d'Aubigny (1673 – 1707), also known as La Maupin, was a renowned epeist and singer who became a member of the French Brotherhood of the Assassins.
Approximately one century before the French Revolution, Louis-Joseph d'Albert de Luynes and three other Assassins were sent by their Mentor to recruit her into the Brotherhood, but due to d'Albert's misogynistic comments they failed. D'Aubigny attacked the Assassins, defeating them and injuring d'Albert's shoulder. The Assassins made their report with the Master Assassin Maréchal, with d'Albert stating that she had no potential as an Assassin.
