Amasya is a city in northern Turkey.
History
In 1509, Grand Master of the Byzantine Templars Prince Ahmet and his fellow Templar Hasan Pasha stayed at his palace after hearing about Ahmet's brother Selim defeating a company of Templars at Trabzond. Ahmet later discussed his consideration to an invitation from fellow Templar Manuel Palaiologos, who claimed responsibility of the surge of mercenaries in Constantinople being his own Templars, with Pasha. Ahmet recollected to Pasha about how his uncle Cem believed in an idea of the whole region being run by Templars, similar to Palaiologos' proposal in his invitation. Wary of the Assassins' growing presence, Ahmet told Pasha to set up the meeting.[1]
