The Jotun Armor was a piece of armor forged by the jötnar, the ice giants of Jötunheimr in Norse mythology. Its rough design cobbled from armor taken off corpses served as a visual reminder to assailants of their inevitable mortality.
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's travels throughout Svartálfaheimr, the All-Father collected this torso armor from defeating Gygr, a member of Suttungr's Outriders. He would also collect the other pieces from the same armor set, by defeating the other members of the spy group.[1]
