John III of Navarre (1469 - 14 June 1516) was the King of Navarre, Spain during the Renaissance, he was also the brother-in-law of Cesare Borgia, who married his sister, Charlotte of Albret. He became King of Navarre by marriage of Queen Catherine, he also commanded a army of over 10,000 men.
In 1506 when Cesare Borgia escaped the Castle of La Mota after being inprisoned there since 1504 he seeked help from King John, who allowed Cesare to serve him for his experiance in the military.
