Joanna was a British woman living and working in London in the mid-nineteenth century.
Working in a local florist shop for Stephen Bean, Joanna often received gifts from her sweetheart, George, who was also the man responsible for delivering the shop's manure. In 1868, when confronted by the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye and questioned about the missing Detective Murphy, she was fairly certain George would propose to her soon.
However, the investigation led the Frye twins to discover George murdered in his home, his diary detailing how he finally had saved enough money to propose to Joanna. Following the clues they found in George's house, the Fryes were able to determine who the murderer was.
