Jean Lemoine (1250 – 22 August 1313) was a French cardinal and secretly a member of the Templars. During the Persecution of the Templars, on 9 December 1307, he managed to hide Templar treasures that were never found. On April 2016, the Assassins obtained genetic DNA from a descendant of his and sent an operative to try to retrieve the treasure. He is also an ancestor of Rémy Lemoine, a history teacher on the Sorbonne.
