Jacques Roux (21 August 1752 – 10 February 1794) was a radical Roman Catholic priest during the French Revolution. He was killed by a group of Assassins including Arno Dorian in 1794.
Due to his psychotic and homicidal behavior, Roux was deemed too dangerous and unpredictable for the Templars to control. As a result, Maximilien de Robespierre had his men kidnap Roux and imprison him.
However, after the fall of Robespierre, the remaining Templars decided to release Roux from captivity and rally forces to support the Reign of Terror. But knowing that the Assassins would come after him, Roux, in paranoid rages, began killing guards who have come to visit him.
Finally, Roux was released from prison, but before he could escape, he was assassinated by Arno.
