John Whiteside Parsons (2 October 1914 – 17 June 1952), born as Marvel Whiteside Parsons and better known as Jack Parsons, was an American rocket propulsion researcher at the California Institute of Technology, and a member of Aleister Crowley's magical order, Ordo Templi Orientis.

On 17 June 1952, while having planned a flight to Mexico, Parsons' lab in Pasadena was blown up by Abstergo Industries, with Parsons himself still inside. Though the explosion did not kill Parsons immediately, he died several hours later of his injuries.
