In the [[Golden Age of Piracy]], a pirate named [[Edward Kenway]] could find two Mayan Stelaes and a treasure map on the island. The treasure map would lead Edward to a chest in Cayman Sound, one of the [[Cayman Islands]]. The chest contained 4000 Reals. Also could he find a hidden buried chest on Pinos Isle. The map could be obtained in [[Cumberland Bay]], and this chest contained the plans for the'' [[Aquila|Aquila's]] ''wheel, which Edward could use as a modification to his own ship, the ''[[Jackdaw]].''

Pinos Isle seen from it's synchronization point

Pinos Isle, also known as Isla de la Juventud, is an island located in the Caribbean Sea. It lays in the southern of Cuba, directly under Havana in the Castillo de Jagua region.

In 1716, the pirate Edward Kenway journeyed to the island to chase down Lucia Márquez, to acquire the Templar key she was carrying. Together with Master Assassin Opía Apito, he eliminated her army of guards, before chasing her through the island's ruins and eventually killing her.

  • Despite the island's name, it did not seem to possess an unusual number of pine trees.
