Investigate was a visual representation of one of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's genetic memories in the Animus 1.28.
Description
Altaïr found a note from Alexander in the safehouse, and travelled to Limassol Castle to meet with him.
Dialogue
Altaïr found a note inside the abandoned resistance safehouse.
- Altaïr: A note from Alexander... He's planning something in the castle courtyard. I'm not sure what this means, but it would be wise to be cautious.
Altaïr travelled to the castle's courtyard and discovered Alexander's body there. Armand Bouchart's agent revealed himself at that moment.
- Altaïr: Alexander...
- Agent: A friend of yours?
- Altaïr: You... I didn't catch your name.
- Agent: What did I tell you in Kyrenia? Was it.... Barnabas?
A mob of enraged citizens broke into the courtyard.
- Citizen 1: There's the traitor!
- Citizen 2: String him up!
- Agent: Ah... sounds like public opinion has turned against you, Assassin.
Altaïr turned to the crowd.
- Altaïr: Stop! I will not fight you. I am not your enemy!
Altaïr revealed the Apple of Eden and activated it.
- Altaïr: Armand Bouchart is the man responsible for your misery. He hired this man to poison the resistance against itself. Go from this place, and rally your men. Cyprus will be yours once again!
The citizens fell under the Apple's influence and left the castle peacefully.
- Agent: Quite a toy you have there. Do you mind if I borrow it?
Maria snuck behind the agent and impaled him with her sword, before pushing him off the ramparts.
- Maria: So, you had it all along...
- Altaïr: And now you see what kind of weapon it could be, in the wrong hands.
- Maria: I don't know that I'd call yours the right hands.
- Altaïr: No. Quite right. I will destroy it... or hide it. Until I find the Archive, I can't say.
- Maria: Well, look no further. You're standing on it.
Templars ran into the courtyard.
- Templar: Kill him! Kill the Assassin!
- Maria: This way! Quickly!
Maria entered the Templar Archive through a secret passage. A platoon of Templar soldiers steadily entered the courtyard and ambushed Altaïr, but he successfully dispatched them before following Maria.
Outcome
Altaïr discovered the fate of Alexander, and with Maria's help, located the entrance to the Templar Archive.
