Infrequent Flier is a memory in Assassin's Creed II.
Description
Now that Antonio's theives have set up bonfires for the Flying Machine and time is becoming shorter, Ezio finally decides to fly across the night sky of Venice, causing much astonishment to civilians and guards alike. Ezio uses the aid of the bonfires to increase his speed and altitude whenever he requieres to do so, and often kicks off archers from rooftops to prevent them from shooting flaming arrows at him. By the time he reaches the Palazzo Ducale, the Flying Machine is on fire, so he quickly jumps off it, and watches, as it crashes and falls into Venezia's waters. Ezio then stealthfully makes his way into the Duke's private room, where he is playing chess with Carlo Grimaldi. Unfortunately, Ezio is too late, and the Doge had already drank the poisoned wine. While Carlo tries to escape, he informs all the guards that Ezio has killed the Doge resulting in them attacking him. Ezio however, evades the guards, and eventually assassinates Carlo.
Outcome
The first Flying Machine is destroyed, and the Templars succeed at killing Giovanni, the Doge, but also lose one of their own.
Trivia
- This is the only mission in Assassin's Creed II (not including the DLC's) in which you can get the achivement/trophy "Fly Swatter".
