The Hundred Years' War was a series of conflicts waged from 1337 to 1453 between the House of Plantagenet, rulers of England, and the House of Valois, rulers of France, for control of the latter kingdom.
In 1428, Jeanne d'Arc joined the conflict on the side of the French, armed with a Sword of Eden. When the Templars discovered this, they had her arrested and burned at the stake to acquire the artifact.
